Lies, Deception and the Truth

There are so many lies and deceptions being perpetrated out there that it is hard to know where the truth lies. Always, there is an effort and battle to get at least some semblance of truth in todays world. And with the internet as a whole, it is the perfect medium for the spread of this insidious behaviour by small minded selfish individuals and groups.

You can be sure that you have been cheated or lied to more than once today since you have been on the net. No doubt you have been spied upon by various agencies, told false information, been led up the garden path, used for some form of monetary gain, and been kept totally ignorant of whats really happening.

This flouting of lies and deceptions all over the place does not really do anything beneficial - especially for the perpetrators! What goes around, comes around! In the end, there only comes suffering or loss.

For all liars and cheaters – their life is not going to be any much happier than those to whom they deceived. Why then create a world of more suffering and unhappiness? There’s already enough of it out there – people starving in poor countries, people homeless and in need, people affected by natural disasters and children in need of proper guidence and positive role models. And the list goes on.......and on. And none of us - including them - wants to be cheated or lied to on top of all that!

Being able to offer the truth instead of lies shows real strength of character. It shows us a real human being who is fearless, who’s not afraid to just be…

It is the insatiable cravings to want something, to want power or control, to want acceptance that leads fools into the world of deception. No matter what they might accumulate or think they accomplish in their lives, they cant take any of it with them when they die. So whats the point of doing it then? Better to have lived a life doing something honest than to have lived a life of deception and lies and being remembered as an asshole!
